Holy hell

This has nothing to do with anything except Shadz is in it.
And I have adamantium claws. No, I'm not a Wolverine fan =D

Nothing to do with CC itself, just a blog related thing.

200 HITS?! WHAT ARE YOU PEOPLE DOING WITH YOUR LIVES?!

Plus, CC hit 79 maps the other day. Everybody congratulate the game on such a milestone.

On that note, I'm going to dig up the earliest CC art I can find and post it here for Lulz.
Ok, not the earliest, but:

Hello!

Hey everyone, I know I haven't updated in a while orz, but I've gotten back to work.
Now, let's see...I had to completely redo Kumo's hair, which is finished. I started Jesse's characterset for the bombing mission, evented the intro for said mission, and drew three facesets, though I'm probably going to redraw Levi-again. F88K YOU LEVI~
Ahem~
I also created a video which I shall link at the end of this post. It includes clips from the new evented scene. Which, may I remind you, is MUSIC based- and timed perfectly. *smug smile*.
I started Levi's run frames because it was kind of necessary for the aeroplane mission, which is almost finished.
Ok, so here's some random stuff:

Announcement

Miri has officially been demoted.

I've realized just now that keeping her as one of the three 'main' members is foolish. In the original demo, Miri joined your party for the first proper leg of the game- the Alleyways. However, Miri doesn't participate until then in the new demo, either- and before you get to the alleys, you've got to first blow up the reactor, and only after that do you actually MEET Miri properly! (You encounter her briefly during the introduction- that hasn't changed much). Kumo isn't in your party unless you get him some travel sickness tablets during the Aeroplane level, and she's minding the camp during the Forest of Despair while Kumo and Levi track down the remaining aeroplane passengers. Plus, she only has about four different moments in the comic that center around her (though Kumo and Levi wouldn't beat Aio up if he hadn't punched her out) and Volumes 2 and 3 don't feature her at all.
Miri is a very main character- but so are Lulu, Kyer and Shadz. Lulu has had as much comic-screen time as Miri, in fact, and Kyer and Shadz aren't supposed to be featured, but they both play a main role. Kyer and Miri are basically on the same page- they both play the love interest. Miri is more the one resolving conflict while Kyer ends up causing a lot of it. In the end Miri is no more important or less important than those three other members, which means she should definitely not be featured in the title screen or the logo. She basically doesn't, anyway.

Besides, she in her original game was a side member anyway. She played no more important role than Barret except for being a love interest (and come on, you can almost slap Barret with that role -.-). There was the fact she was involved in Nibelheim- and that's no different on the flipside with Miri. However, Kumo and Levi were the main protagonists in their respective games, and as a result, they both play extremely significant roles in this game. Though Lulu would still be a member of Forest, Kyer and Miri would still be in LANDSLIDE with Warren trying to destroy Omniax and Shadz would still be a really creepy guy with way too much info for an 18 year old, it's Kumo and Levi who keep the story rolling. They keep it interesting. Plus, they were the first good guys to be infected with the Character Virus and as a result, infected everyone else. Without them, there would be no Cosplay Crisis- because there wouldn't be a crisis involving cosplaying. Miri and the rest wouldn't even be in Tokyo without them.

Thus, the new logo for Cosplay Crisis will not feature Miri. Plus, I couldn't think of a pose for her anyway.
(Kyrsty's CC party: Kumo, Levi, plus Kyer or Shadz =P)

New Stuff

Here have some screenshots.

Ok, well I've been working diligently on my game for the past few days, but today I took a break from game stuff to bring something new.

In about 30-45 minutes, I will be uploading the sketch version of the first volume of Cosplay Crisis: School Yard. Though untitled in the pages, I have labelled it 'Distress of Umbrellas and Milkshakes.'
Hopefully in the next few days I will also have Cruelty in the form of Socialization (volume 2) also uploaded. I just feel it is selfish of me to keep these storyline parts away from my 167 page viewers =P.

Please if anyone feels the urge for crying out loud the first volume is almost half a year old! So PLEASE do not comment on the art in the comics! These are for storyline purposes only- if you feel that you can't read them because the artwork is so shitty, then don't, I don't care.
Me, Kumo, Levi and Miri will keep our in jokes =P.

My main reason for doing so was that I was planning out the scene in Acaridae where Kumo and Levi are grabbing a bite to eat, and Levi orders his usual- Big Mac meal with a caramel milkshake, while Kumo has a chicken salad with apple and blackcurrant juice and an apple pie.
(I EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY'D EAT GOD I'M DOOMED D:). Though I have uploaded the pages with Kumo explaining his hatred for milkshakes, Aio mentions the umbrella fight while you're at the Fairgrounds, which I didn't get up to.

So take it as you will. Read and enjoy.

......it's a 31 mb download, just so you know. The comic is about 26 pages long (didn't count them). Volume 2 is about 40 pages long....=/.

The planet of Gaia needs a hero...

I recently got hold of an emulator copy of Final Fantasy IX, and I have to say, I'm enjoy the hell out of it. Out of the three PSX heroes, Zidane is the one who comes close to Squall's pedestal, and for totally different reasons.
I'm an unemotional jerk, and I understand that side of myself at all times except for the endings of Crisis Core and FFX. I still haven't had the emotional stability to bring myself to finish Crisis Core, in fact.
So when I find a game that almost leaves me in stitches, it's a rare and mostly enjoyable experience, and Final Fantasy IX is one of those games. Despite liking characters with thoughtful backgrounds and general jerkiness (Cloud and Squall) Zidane's happy-go-lucky attitude has me playing the game avidly. I've accumulated 27 hours of playtime since I acquired the game last Saturday, and I've also been playing Dissidia in the meantime, as well as throwing in a bit of mapping and spriting for Cosplay Crisis.
What disappoints me in comparison to other FF's is the lack of side-quests. In all honesty I enjoy breaking away from the story into some back-breaking dungeon of despair trying to discover a new Guardian Force or going after a WEAPON, and compared to FF8 and FF7, FF9's side-quests are difficult, but few in number and rather short. I was recently exploring Gaia before leaving for Terra, trying to find the equivalent of the Islands Closest to Heaven and Hell, only finding areas that had Grand Dragons as their strongest monster. When I began the levelling crusade I was about level 40, and did get wiped out about twice, but after I equipped Antibody and gave Dagger a coral ring I've massed leveled to about level 50 and can't find anything stronger D:. It sucks, and I know I'm not ready to attempt Hades or Ozma...but they're the only two bosses!

Thinking back to FF8, there was Jumbo Cactuar, Odin, all those Tonberries, Bahamut, the Ruby Dragons and co., Ultima and Omega Weapons....and a number of them required dungeon crawling to get anywhere! (especially Ultima Weapon...the descent through the DSRC was worse than the fight!)

I know that some people would probably just say 'Oh, you're being picky', but this is my third playthrough and usually I go for everything at this point. And everything in FF9 isn't that much, disappointingly. Most quests are pretty basic and don't really require much thought on your part.
I hope Final Fantasy XIII has plenty of side-missions. >.> (You can probably tell I thoroughly enjoyed Crisis Core, lol =P)

On Cosplay Crisis notes I haven't really done much...I've finished mapping out the entirity of Kumo's apartment, and the Residential District, and half of the Town Square. I mapped out the main event cave for the area after the incident on the plane (I need to map out the plane still...D:.) I almost finished Zane's character set, implemented Mognet, implemented the new Equip menu, finished the run animation templated and made Kumo's run animation, made the ready pose for Kumo's buster gun weapon, made Levi's intro, ready and half of his skill and item poses, fully fleshed out the Armors tab and set the Materia slots correctly.
Yeah I haven't been up to much. Oh and I also redrew Kumo and Zane's facesets, AGAIN, but this time I'm using the Dissidia character models available in the Museum mode to base their faces correctly.

(Squall's Dissidia face is fucking hard to draw D:)

Why ello thar!

....I still can't update =D *gets shot*

But I guess I can tell you what I've been up to lately. I've just finished Year 10, I just have exams to go, and I've already completed one (my Vocational Education Training subject's exam. At the end of the year, I'll have a Certificate II in Multimedia. Go me! =D)

We're hopefully installing an aircon tomorrow. Thank god, I'm dying in this weather! Seriously!

I have done some drawing and plans for Cosplay Crisis but it would be much easier if there was another me I could bounce ideas off of D: I'm still working on Acaridae's maps. I was thinking about a few more areas before the Fairgrounds, but I'm already putting a lot more spriting in as it is. Plus, with Chrissy coming around and 3 demanding siblings, and two parents, I couldn't afford a pixel artist.
Dammit.

I brought home a bunch of my Art subject work, some of it's ok, other stuff I'm not proud of. I plan to stick all my work (the ones I work on for a long time) on a wall, and then when I get better, the old ones come down.

Inspire myself to do better, if you know what I mean.

I'm really demotivated at the moment, and I have a pounding headache, so excuse this post for having nothing whatsoever to do with CC.

=p.

And I am so glad that I have gained the ability to draw the same character over and over and over again without having to use a reference...just check my DeviantART, it's pretty funny since it's the same pose :D.

I need a consistent name for my posts.

Ok, this is not an update. I need to post in order to transfer Cosplay Crisis files across to my computer at home and keep them safe from worms, etc. My USB's are being very annoying -.-

Yeah well...

Ok so maybe I haven't gotten a lot done game wise lately, life at home has been nuttier than a Cornetto D:.

Dad just getting home from his back surgery and the fact we've got a house inspection this Friday is doing my head in.

So I've stuck to drawing my comic in my free time because it doesn't require a computer.

But I have done some stuff, such as spriting McDonalds, finishing the recolour of Ruby's stand pose, and drawing and colouring her face set.

The McDonalds is for the new airport scene. With how much I'm going over and redoing for the next demo release, the entire thing is probably going to be different o_O.

I have changed just about every scene- and redone a lot (I mean A LOT) of the maps, including Kumo's house, which has been re-evented as well. The short, rushed airplane scene will be replaced by an entire new level consisting of the use of Levi and his Revolver to liberate the plane from a bunch of terrorists. Kumo doesn't join in because a. he has no weapon and b. he's got motion sickness.

Also, the characters do not change into their cosplays until they reach Tokyo and stay overnight in a hotel. They then try to catch a taxi, but it rips them off and they end up in the Alleys, where you need to find the key to the gate so you can catch the Subway to the Fairgrounds.

Battle Circle has been re-evented, no corny dialogue with Arithial.

So yeah, basically the entire thing has been gone over and changed. Even the scene after Kumo wakes up.

And I will be editting the scene where Levi 'meets' Kyer and Shadz, though he has met them before in Volume 2 of Cosplay Crisis: School Yard, however no names are mentioned.

Now, to abandon you with some more art D=

Ugh =p

Yeah well I have been extremely busy of late- mainly since Armageddon was on Sunday. On that note, I HAVE done work. Unbelievably. I've redone the entire airport scene to include Leon, and I redid the entire battle circle too. I have yet to play it through, though, must find labrats.
I've started work on Exhibition Tower but none of the custom graphics are done, I'm using Kieara Phoenix's modern graphics for the first floor and exterior at the moment. I'll add the swords statue onto it, but I'll make my own tileset for the Final Fantasy floor.
I did start going over Kumo's sprite cause he sucks, but I want to finish the game first, so new versions of the battlers will probably be only in the Insane edition.
I've added an intro to bring people up to speed on what's going on before the National Cosplay Week, including Omniax(which is a combination of Umbrella and Shin-Ra[PURE EVEL!]), Forest and Landslide. Kumo is of course mentioned in this.
I've also started spriting Elvoret. His base frame is 300x300 pixels! I have barely the lineart done so far!
I'm basing it off this particular Final Fantasy boss:
Yes he is a scary mofo. He's going to be difficult to sprite, so I won't be doing too many frames for him. I'll probably end up leaving out Struck, even. I just don't have the patience to do too much for him.
BUT, on that note, any boss is better than Randgris!!

As a final note, I will leave my dear readers with something super-special awesome: the Cosplay Crisis intro!

In the year 2010, a world not so different from our own has developed a system aside from the government in the form of factions spanning across the globe. The largest of these is the electrical and pharmaceutical company Omniax, considered by many as the greatest evil the world has ever faced. Despite being a ‘company’ they have their own entire mass of soldiers, willing to give their lives for the company. The governments of many countries fear an uprising of the company into power, but in truth the governments’ power is false
under the power of Omniax.
The greatest opposers are a group derived from the environmental movement Greenpeace, now known as ‘Landslide’. Their goal is to stop Omniax’s method of producing electricity and their potentially dangerous virology experiments. However, they have their own haters, given that the reason for them branching away from Greenpeace is their tendency to resort to extreme violence. They have separate groups around the globe, consisting of close to a half
million members, the largest one being in the mega-city of Acaridae, where they are lead by a young woman named Miriam Joumaeshin and a hot-headed man named Warren.
In the middle of the two conflicting sides is a mercenary organization called Forest, training children who seem to have no goal in life to fight for the right price. However, they do have morals, and seem to have an ultimate goal lying underneath their seemingly simple exterior. This ‘ultimate goal’ is not even understood by their ‘Canopy’, their Commander, a 19-year-old named Levi Raionomoi. Despite being a commander, he still actively participates in missions.
The organization also provides work for soldiers of fortune, hiring them in to partner up with particular members. While Levi was still a Sapling, he was partnered up with a drifter mercenary named Kumo Atsureki, who works to keep food on the table for himself and his brother…but he, like everyone else, seems to have a motive aside from this. He has also recently been hired by Landslide to help destroy electrical reactors around Acaridae.
These three individuals- Miri, Levi and Kumo-, are deeply interconnected, as they have been friends since childhood. As a brief respite from the deep world that they are embroiled in, they embark on a holiday to Japan to participate in the National Cosplay Week, an event attracting thousands of people to Tokyo to dress as their favourite characters.
The three may believe this is a holiday, but soon the events of the past and their imminent futures are going to come crashing down on them.
The clouds are brewing. The squalls are growing in intensity.
The Crisis is about to begin.

Yay word play =D

BAH Humbug...on the proper blog!

Starting trailer over again. I didn't like the story board I had in the first place for it, it annoyed me because it wasn't properly fluent or anything. And...
The USB with the trailer failed anyway -_-. Both of the same type USB's I've had for the same amount of time failed on me within two days of each other. Coincidence? I think not.
*swears at USB companies*
Aside from that I finished Ruby's front walk and side stand poses. I need to play FF9 again, it's been a while and it takes a bit to get me working on related stuff. For FF7, 8 and 10 I have the games available so it's a different story for them =/.
I also finished a couple of sprites that will appear in the extended version of the airport. Since I figured customs isn't going to let a 19-year-old waltz in with a .45 Magnum in his jacket (well done Levi -_-).
From this scene, the proof that Cosplay Crisis isn't just Final Fantasy will come through as he gets his ass saved by Leonard Shawn Kendal, or Leon S. Kendall for short.
Sound familiar?
Played RE2 or RE4 lately? Nehehe.

Also, I extended the Alleys by LOADS. In fact, it even has its own boss fight in order to get through the gate to get to the Subway and an extra branching map. Thanks InFeCtioN for this suggestion, now I don't have to edit the boss in the Battle Circle.
I'm also in the process of extending the Battle Circle to resemble its FF7 counter part better. This means more fights before you fight he boss, which I will one day get around to changing from a Rangarok Online monster to Elvoret/Enoyle from FF8.

In the meantime enjoy the Kumo picture. I remembered his ear ring!!

(I bet there's tons of Engrish in this post, I typed it up at 3am after crashing from energy drinks =D. I'm not thinking straight, believe me)

Lol, this proves I'm tired. I posted this on the Burnt Toast Memorial blog first instead of here =D.

Questions?

Pertaining to the series as a whole, I'm wondering if anybody would like to play through Kumo and Levi's missions prior to the game at current. I don't have anything atm but I already have ideas for what scripts I would use (it would be an ABS instead of ATB). I suppose I'd be better off finishing what I have planned for School Yard before I even consider making a game off it.

In game related news, two separate versions of the final game will be released. The first, the standard edition, will be released to most forums.
The second, the 'Insane' edition, will feature in-depth character profiles, an art gallery, extended ending, summon animations that don't suck, and Swordless Mission, and extra playable part at the beginning of the game where you get to play as non-cosplay Kumo and Levi wielding a machine gun and a Magnum .44 respectively. The battle system won't be any different, but it does give a little more storyline, including information about Levi's past that would usually only be found in Cosplay Crisis: Final Core. It may also include Aeris as an unlockable character, but she was planned as a non-listed one in the original version. I'm now debating this, given that she unbalances the FF8-FF7 balance.

Unless I also put Irvine in, since his character does have a persona now. Yes I am looking at you, Carl.

Get some clothes on for crying out loud.

And yes I'm now putting the game name in italics. =P.

Work...

Alright, an end is in sight! I've got the dialogue for the ending cutscenes written down and I already know how the ending fight goes down. One of the CC trio will end up hospitalized, critically injured...who will it be?

(aka 'who has a fake death in their respective game at the end of disk 1' o.o)

That said I still have a lot to do. I plan to utilize the numerous tilesets I have for Tokyo, but the Bridge and the Exhibition Tower I will have to sprite myself. *sigh*. I still have a lot of battlers to do, etc...
Meh. CC Vol.2 is at Page 6.
I have another scene like Aio and Levi's fight to sprite, but it's a lot shorter in comparision. Just involves some combination Fated Circle + Climhazzard awesomeness...
Climb Circle! o.o
Alongside Brave Divide in CC volume 1...Meteor Zone...and Omniheart Lionslash.

o.o

If anyone feels up to it, I wouldn't mind having a composer for CC. Just some theme remixes (excluding Levi), maybe a theme for the actual game...meh.

It's not necessary but could give the game a little more oomph.

Apologies...

Argh I drained myself on the demo....
I can't work on it right now, I'm too desperate for Dissidia. I can't even THINK about working on this game. Plus most work I have to do next is spriting and I hope I'm not the only one who finds it draining. Also I always have my nose rubbing against the frickin' screen while doing it because of my short-sightedness.

Oh and by the way...this is the actual demo link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?mxdy3z2dwny

Play it! Tell me your thoughts! =D.

About a lot of the character art, they will be redrawn. Especially early ones such as Kumo, Levi, and Miri's full-body shots.
I'll also be doing a 'promotional poster', not for the fun of it but to say thanks for 1000 views on DevArt. Nehehehe ^_^
http://sorceresskyrsty.deviantart.com/

My DevArt for those interested. The so-far digitized pages of Cosplay Crisis can be seen as well as other artwork. Check it out ;)

Demo released

Everybody snap at me for the dramatic difference between Levi's normal and Levi's cosplay sprites. Boohoo, I didn't finish cosplay sprite until after I packaged the demo.

Get a grip >=[

http://www.mediafire.com/?abwtmwjzlmn

This is the demo link. It's 46 mb, but would be 40 if I hadn't forgotten something...namely to delete the Opening-Bombing Mission MP3. Sorry =p

It should be pretty much bug-free though some dialogue doesn't fit with everything else. I'll fix it soon -.- At the moment I'm trying to focus on spriting because I'm motivated and I don't want to waste it orz.

Levi's normal and cosplay outfits are finished and I've started Kumo's normal. Ribbed shirts are a bitch, but at least I only have to do it once. Cloud's shirt is also ribbed (which is why Kumo's is -.-) which means when I turned the Kumo sprite to his Cloud cosplay I don't have to worry about it FD. Kumo's hair looks soooo much better now =D.

The fight between Aio and Levi is going to be a bitch to sprite orz.

Thursday, August 20, 2009

I've been working O.O

Yay TRAINS =P.

I've finally got Shadz's and Levi's battlers done. Whoop >.> I also have been working on individual outfits for the character when they're not dressed as FF characters. Levi is the first victim o.o. I'm mainly doing this because they wear normal outfits in the School Yard, but also because I think Levi's sprite looks stupid. Plus I'd like to have the satisfaction that I sprited the cast main by myself.

Which basically means another demo delay, but means that all the cast will look like they should ;).

Levi likes his fur and his belts, yup yup.

Also, Cosplay Crisis comic has reached 21 pages. Kumo's such a crazy psycho at times o.o

Saturday, August 15, 2009

*is dead*

Not really. I've just been really demotivated and haven't worked on anything, sorry guys orz.

I worked on it a little today but I just can't sprite at the moment. I did some little edits to a Kumo character set so he actually opens his eyes after dreaming at the beginning, but other than that...

I really can't get my motivation up. I've been avoiding everything by playing Touhou O.O. Meiling keeps killing meh =C.

It's probably because I actually had the 'Saving Shadz' segment done but then my data corrupted. I was so pissed, and my back-up didn't have the boss data or any of the eventing.

So, sorry everyone =C.

Friday, July 31, 2009

Sorry everybody about the delay :/

<- *shock* WTF IS THIS PHOTO? WHY WAS IT IN KUMO'S POCKET? WHY IS THAT GUY SO SMEXY? WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?!

Yeah I know I suck at deadlines >.>

But besides that, I've been trying to think of way to give CC's story more...meat. (Meat is awesome). After all, stuff like CC: Final Core is something I've been planning, which is based around Crisis Core...I've become a bit of an FF7-fangirl, more than ten years after its initial release, lol.

Oh well.

As another note, I'm planning not to have Levi's scar just 'appear'. He's going to get it the regular damn way >=[, from his arch rival O.O.

Betcha didn't even realize that there was a Seifer-type character in CC, did ya XD. I don't even know who I'm talking to...
But yeah, I'm gonna go into proper details and stuff. Like for example, Levi and Kyer will have met before: but they've never been properly 'introduced'. I'm tired of me fawning over FF7, since FF8 had a great storyline, too. I'm going to try and create A DISTORTED VERSION OF THE BOTH OF THEM.

Yes, I'm a sicko. But it's a parody, right? I still need to make sure this stays funny. And what's funnier than getting stopped at the gate by your arch-rival, in a Seifer costume, and getting told you're going to duel him because you beat up his posse with umbrellas?
(That happens in the CC comic XD)

Wow, I update often

<- Lol, randomness last level mock-up screen. Probably won't happen.
And this one ->
is the logo I decided to make today. It has *Unknown*(Ultimicia) Arithial (Sephiroth), Kumo, Levi and Miri in it. As a side not, Amano has a creepy drawing style. Cool, but slightly creepy...
Well it's not really an update. Not really. I finally got flash's sound to work. Turns out it wouldn't play the MP3 versions of the songs I wanted, so I had to convert them to WAV. Yeah. The file is now 100mb IN SIZE.

I almost immediately gave up on ever having animated sequences in Cosplay Crisis. But I probably wouldn't have them until the final game's released anyway, so...

In other news, I almost lost the game O.O. Yeah, you heard me right! All my files went and corrupted on me, and I think it was because I tried to play it on another computer O.O. Luckily I had a backed-up version I kept to do testing with. Everybody thank the gods of computer data, they shine on me today *basks in monitor screen light*

I also added Summons, but they won't be in the final version either due to the IMMENSE file size of the animation files. Each of them are roughly 25mb!! 5 of them would increase the game by 125mb, and it's 50 mb already. But so far, the Summons list is:
Ifrit
Shiva
Ramuh
Titan
Carbuncle(if, IF I can get a reflection script to work in game...I highly doubt it, but it's still IF)
Mog
Bahamut

However, 4 of these won't even be available if you just play without getting extras. The two summoner secret characters (Hanah and Ruby) come with 2 summons each. Just more incentive to get them, eh?

Also, these are possible thanks to Ringo. They look amazing, thank you!
TrÉs belle, Ringo! Merci beaucoup ^_^.

Over that drama, I also mocked up PSP covers for CC and made a new CC logo. It's not much better than the old one but meh.

I also uploaded a picture of the new logo on its own.

Demo Release Date

OMFG I never thought I'd post this.

Demo is due to be released 28/7/09/. Hopefully, the game is bug free and fabulous.
I coloured an old Zane drawing, as you can see
<-. I've noticed my work has been getting...shinier? And a lot less sketchy. A turn for the better, I must admit XD. I finished sketching out Page 9 for Cosplay Crisis: School Yard, which involves Kumo ditching Levi and Miri before they can try to drag him into cosplaying. In the words of Kumo: Oh, the irony. In Cosplay Crisis game related news: The hotel at Ghost Circle now has a shop were you can buy weapons, items and Materia. The weapons available are all stronger than everything your party currently has equipped so it's probably a good idea to buy a few, at least for Kumo since he's the main character an all XD. I've been customizing a secret boss that will be available during the final dungeon. The final dungeon, to the relief of those who 'must-get-everything-in-game' players, is unfathomably long with plenty of good EXP enemies. Which is lucky, because this 'secret boss' I have yet to beat with a party at level 46. I survived 4 minutes and got its HP down past 80% (because it blasted me with Dark 3 and basically killed me). If you want to watch me get 'PWNED', go here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfbrcCOqD5s Also, Archeia posted an update for Advent Cirno on Game Jolt (link is on the page). I hope they go for the Tales of-esque system, but with any system they go for, I'm probably going to fail. I can't even pass Cirno on Embodiment of the Scarlet Devil :C. (You maybe wondering why I'm posting about Advent Cirno in the Cosplay Crisis thread, but please remember, if I hadn't heard of Advent Cirno and looked into it, I wouldn't have started Cosplay Crisis, and this is probably the best fan-game idea I've ever had. It's both serious and funny at the same time and I can take a tongue-in-cheek approach, unlike FF8-2 where I have to be serious, so STFU about it >=[)

*sighz* Updated...Maybe?

Lol I haven't worked on this for a while but after some inspiration from Carl I decided to pick it up again. Plus, I got Crisis Core recently, which equals two things: Inspiration and the disability to shorten my game down to CC from now on. Or maybe Cosplay Crisis can be CC and Crisis Core can be CC:FF7? Who knows *shrugs*.

I decided to go back to a previous build of Cosplay Crisis (basically the one without limits screwing everything up) and clean it up to get it working properly. I can survive without limits, especially since I just create my first Debug map. Hoho.
But on another note, I don't think I mentioned that I've lengthened the demo out to include going on a plane and stuff? In order to get to the National Cosplay Day (which is confirmed to be in Japan in the Cosplay Crisis School Yard manga) they need to catch a plane. Plus Levi and Kumo go out for coffee.

It's been really great to be able to go through a battle and not have stuff error when I use items, and be able to use Materia for the first time in 3 months! XD XD XD.
With the way I'm working on CC currently I SHOULD be able to release a demo very, very, very soon. I'm deadlining it to my birthday, ok?! That way, I should probably get it done! Hopefully.
I don't feel like spriting at the moment, I've been tired for the last couple of days due to over-playing Crisis Core. I was up to five in the morning on Thursday O.O. However by tomorrow I should have the next page of CC:SY published and Miri's defense and down poses done. They're just about all I need to finish for her, then I can worry about Levi.
If you want to read the comic, check the Arts section of Creation Asylum www.creationasylum.net OR check out my DevArt page: http://sorceresskyrsty.deviantart.com/

Also, anybody know of a FF7 Limit Break system that DOESN'T conflict with Materia and DOESN'T require the SDK? Because I'm almost considering just using the KGC Desperation Attacks script I'm using for LOTSL.

Cosplay Crisis now has a blog o_O?

Yeah, I decided to create a blog separate from Burnt Toast Memorial (which needs to be renamed :/). But yeah, this is the first post on the CC blog and I'll try to keep it as updated as possible.

On that note, here's what's new in CC:

Longer Intro Sequence: More character development, and more travel: your characters now have to take a taxi, plane, back alley and a train in order to get to where the Cosplay Day is being held. Go figure :/.
New Miri Sprite: Miri now has a custom sprite that I didn't get from Sithjester's site. I used pieces from Monkeydlu's sprites in order to give her more definition to other characters, and I need to do the same thing to the Tifa sprite.
New Shadz/Miri/Kumo fight: Shadz gets chased around by a robot and it's up to you to save him.

I'm still waiting on GubiD with my scripts and I haven't heard anything from him since...about 10 weeks ago. *sigh*. What is with me and scripts...? They like...hate me or something. :/.
